Your privacy is our priority

SECTION 1 – INTRODUCTION, SCOPE, AND LEGAL FRAMEWORK
EDROIDA GÖRSEL TEKNOLOJİ HİZMETLERİ LTD. ŞTİ. ("EDROIDA", "we", "our", or "us"), whose registered office is at PETROL İŞ MAH. AKGÜN SK. AHMET BEY APT NO: 46, İÇ KAPI NO: 1, KARTAL / İSTANBUL, TÜRKİYE, designs, develops, and supports the OtherMy app for iPhone and iPad, OtherMy for Family (a web page for family members without an iPhone), the website www.othermy.com, and related services (collectively, "OtherMy" or the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, create, receive, store, use, disclose, transfer, and safeguard information about people when we provide the Platform. It is written to meet the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA) and other US state privacy laws, the transparency duties of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act), and Türkiye's Law on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK No. 6698). Nothing in this Policy reduces the protections the law gives you; where laws differ, the stricter safeguard applies. This Policy describes what we do; you do not have to accept it, and you can use the rights in Section 10 at any time. If you disagree with how we handle your data, please write to privacy@othermy.com or stop using the Platform.
SECTION 2 – DEFINITIONS, ROLES, AND ACCOUNTABILITY
"User", "data subject", or "you" refers to any identified or identifiable natural person who accesses OtherMy. "Personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; "non-personal data" refers to aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information that no longer permits identification. "Processing" covers every action performed on personal data (collecting, recording, structuring, storing, adapting, retrieving, consulting, using, transmitting, disseminating, aligning, restricting, deleting, or destroying), whether automated or manual. "Sensitive data" encompasses special categories defined in GDPR Article 9, comparable categories under KVKK, and sensitive personal information under the CCPA (e.g., health, biometric, genetic, racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation). EDROIDA acts as the Data Controller under GDPR and KVKK and as a Business under the CCPA. Certain carefully vetted partners operate as Data Processors/Service Providers under written agreements that bind them to confidentiality, security, and data usage limitations. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, because the law does not currently require us to; a person responsible at EDROIDA reads privacy@othermy.com and answers privacy questions and requests. We keep a record of our processing activities (GDPR Article 30) and assess features that carry a higher risk, such as voice cloning and copies of other people, before we offer them (GDPR Article 35). Until a representative in the European Union and in the United Kingdom (GDPR Article 27 and UK GDPR Article 27) is named in this Policy, OtherMy is not offered in the European Union or the United Kingdom.
SECTION 3 – CATEGORIES OF DATA WE COLLECT AND SOURCES
We collect information from four primary sources: (a) information you voluntarily supply; (b) data automatically collected from your device, browser, or app usage; (c) data obtained from third-party services you connect or authorize; and (d) context or metadata generated by our algorithms. The main categories include:
- Account & Identity Data: a random account identifier (guest accounts start with only this identifier until you add a sign-in method), the sign-in method you use (Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, email and password, or a phone number confirmed with a code sent by text message; passwords and sign-in codes are handled by our authentication provider, Google Firebase, never by us), your name, email address and phone number if you give them, time zone, language and region, when the account was created, and whether it is a guest account, a registered account, or deleted. Before first use the app asks the year you were born to confirm you are sixteen (16) or older; only the result (old enough or not) is kept, on your device, never the year.
- Profile & Persona Data: your answers to the first interview, a week-by-week reading of the messages you write and what you say in calls to any copy (mood, feelings, personality traits, how you ask, answer and talk, topics) that powers Personality Story, Voice Story and AI Insights, and optional details you choose to add in your Profile (birth date, gender, city, country, an "About Me" text, a profile photo, and the photos of your face you upload in "My Face"). Face photos are stored only as images for your own copy; we do not create biometric identifiers or face templates from them (see On-Device Face Suggestions below for the optional feature that works only on your device). You may update or delete profile details and photos at any time in the app.
- AI Interaction & Content Data: your conversations with copies (your own, the copies you made, copies you have been given access to, and sample copies of made-up people), summaries our AI writes for you (such as your Personality Story and the portrait of your copy), and the photos and sound you add. Content can be removed in the app at any time and is deleted when you delete your account.
- Device, Technical & Usage Data: device model, operating system version, app version, a push notification token, an App Attest key that shows our server a request comes from the genuine app on a real iPhone, a random identifier the app keeps on your device (it stays after reinstalling the app; we store it only in hashed form, to keep free allowances per device and prevent their abuse), and crash and performance reports from Apple's MetricKit, which are not linked to you. Our servers see your IP address to answer each request; it is kept only in our hosting provider's short-term logs and not with your account. We do not collect precise location, your contacts or your photo library; the app reads only the photos you choose.
- Transaction & Subscription Data: what you buy in the App Store (plan, lifetime plan, pack or gift), product identifiers, purchase and renewal dates, price and currency as Apple reports them, offer codes you redeem, refunds, and, for a gift, the single-use code it became (stored only as a hash) and the account that redeemed it. Purchases are made with Apple; EDROIDA never receives your card or bank details. If you delete your account, we keep only the random identifier that tied your App Store purchases to it, with the date, so you can restore a plan to a new account. If you buy Family Legacy, we also keep which of the people who can reach your copy hold its seats and how much of its shared monthly allowances they use. If you ask Apple for a refund and you have allowed it (Subscription screen, Refund Requests, off until you turn it on or allow it before buying Family Legacy), we tell Apple whether you received and used what you bought and which outcome we would prefer, so Apple can decide; nothing you wrote or said is shared, Apple decides, and you can turn it off at any time. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a); KVKK Article 5(1)).
- Trust, Safety & Support Data: messages you send to support@othermy.com or privacy@othermy.com, reports you make about other people's content and reports others make about yours, the people you block, and your answers to optional in-app surveys.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: the app uses no cookies and no advertising or analytics SDKs; it keeps your sign-in and your settings on your device. Our website www.othermy.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics. OtherMy for Family keeps your sign-in in your browser's storage. See Section 11.3.
- Family, Guardian & Legacy Data: information about people you choose to involve (your guardians' name, phone number and relationship; the name, relationship and note of people who ask for or are given access to your copy; and the name, relationship, email address and optional phone number of the recipients of your Messages for the Future), together with the messages, photos, voice recordings, and videos you leave for them, invitation and access codes (stored only in hashed form), and the status of any guardian access request. Conversations other people have with your copy are stored in their own accounts. When you add someone, you confirm that you may share their contact details with us for this purpose; we use them only to invite or reach that person and to recognize them if they already use OtherMy.
- Voice Recordings & Voice Clones: if you use voice features, the recordings you make or upload and a synthetic voice model ("voice clone") that our voice provider creates from them so your copy can speak in that voice. For a voice clone of someone other than you (for example in "For Someone Else"), we also keep your confirmation that you have that person's consent or another legal right to use their voice, together with the time you gave it and your account. When a call ends, we also measure your own turns in it once (pitch, liveliness and loudness) for your Voice Story; only these numbers are kept, never the sound unless you pressed Record. Voices are used only inside OtherMy: audio made with someone else's voice cannot be downloaded or shared, and AI-generated speech is labelled as such. You can delete a recording or a voice clone at any time; deleting it, or your account, also removes the voice model from our voice provider. Consent confirmations are kept while the voice exists and for up to three (3) years afterwards to handle legal claims. While a voice can't be used (for example after Premium ends) or hasn't been used for a while, we may remove the voice model from our voice provider and keep only your recordings, so the same voice can be made again when it's needed. After your copy passes to your guardians, the people you approved can talk with it in your voice by buying minutes for it; your recordings stay protected the same way.
- Voice Calls: when you call a copy (yours, or one you've been given access to), our voice provider ElevenLabs turns what you say into text and the copy's words into speech in real time, and our AI provider OpenAI writes the copy's replies from the same persona and memories as the chat. Every call is labelled as a conversation with an AI copy. We keep the written transcript of every call in your account, and it also appears in your chat with that copy so the copy can remember it. We keep the sound of a call only if you press Record during it, within your plan's monthly limit. Our voice provider keeps a call only until we have saved it, and never longer than seven (7) days. You can delete any call, with its transcript and recording, in Settings → Voice Call Recordings; the sound of a call with someone else's copy plays only inside the app.
- Copies for Someone Else: if you make a copy of another person, what you share about them (their name, who they are to you, whether they're alive, your answers, photos, memories, recordings) and the chats you upload. A chat file can contain other people's messages: we read it once to find the person the copy is of, keep only that person's messages (and a few of the messages they were answering, as style examples), and delete the rest of the file right away. We record your confirmation that you have their consent or the right as family. Only you, the helpers you confirm (see Sharing a Copy You Made below) and, after a release, your guardians can reach the copy. Deleting the copy, or your account, deletes everything in it.
- Sharing a Copy You Made: you can invite up to five people (for example a sibling) to help build a copy you made of someone else. They enter a single-use code that is valid for a week, and you confirm that the account that entered it is really them; until then they see nothing of the copy. People you confirm can open the copy, talk with it and add answers, memories, chats and recordings, which become part of the copy and stay in it if they leave or you stop sharing. Only you can delete the copy, rename it or decide who it is shared with. We keep who helps with which copy, the name and a masked contact of an account waiting for your confirmation, and delete these when the sharing ends or the copy is deleted.
- For My Child (a notebook): if you keep a notebook for your child, we store what you write in it: the child's first name, their birthday if you add it, the lines you write (first words, things they said, moments) with the day, and short recordings (up to one minute each) if you choose to keep the sound. A notebook is not a copy: its content is not used to build or teach any copy and is not shared with anyone; only you can see it. If you dictate a line instead of typing it, that short recording is turned into text as described under Answering by Talking and is not kept. You can delete a line, a sound or the whole notebook at any time, and it is deleted with your account. You are responsible for having the right, as a parent or legal guardian, to keep this about the child.
- Your Own Chats: if you add a chat export (WhatsApp, Telegram) to your own copy so it writes like you, we read the file once, keep only your own messages and a few of the messages you were answering (as style examples), and delete the rest of the file right away. Other people in the chat are not identified or contacted. You can delete an added chat at any time in Improve My Copy → Your Real Chats.
- Conversation Recordings: if you upload a recording in which more than one person talks, our voice provider ElevenLabs turns it into text and tells the voices apart, and we show you a few lines from each voice so you can say which one is you (or the person the copy is of). We then keep only that person's part of the sound and their words, and overwrite the file that had everyone in it. The other person's voice is deleted, unless you choose to add it to a copy you look after (your own, or one you made in "For Someone Else") and confirm that you have that person's consent or another legal right to use their voice; we keep that confirmation. From the conversation we also keep a short description of how the two people talk with each other and a few short exchanges as examples, for the copies involved. Until you say who is who, the whole file is kept for at most seven (7) days and is not used for the copy or for any voice clone; if you have not chosen by then, the recording is deleted automatically. You can delete a recording at any time in Your Voice, which also deletes what was learned from it.
- Family Tree: the people you add to your tree (name, gender, whether they're alive, birth and death years, an optional photo) and how they're related to you. Your tree is visible only to you. If you connect someone in your tree to their OtherMy account with their copy code and they accept, your two trees are shown joined to both of you; each of you can still change only your own, and either of you can separate them at any time. When accepting, they can choose to let you talk with their copy. Removing a person, or deleting your account, deletes them from your tree.
- Your Copy's Journey: the answers you give in Improve My Copy (including optional answers about faith or politics, which you only see after giving explicit consent and can withdraw at any time); person cards about the people in your life (their name, what you call each other, their relationship to you, an optional photo and birthday, and what you choose to write about them); memory cards (a title, an approximate date, your story of up to 1,500 characters, an optional photo, and which of your people appear in it, with the position of each name tag in the photo); recordings of your own voice and their text transcripts; a short written portrait of you that our AI drafts from what you shared and that you can confirm or correct; your Copy Test results (the replies you marked as sounding like you or not, and any wording you corrected); and an index of meaning vectors ("embeddings") made from these items so your copy can recall the right memory at the right moment. Person cards and memory cards may contain information about other people. Add only what you are entitled to share and what you believe the person concerned would be comfortable with; we use it only to make your copy speak and remember as you would, never to contact or profile those people. You can edit or delete every card, recording, and answer at any time, and deleting a person card removes that person from your memories. Recordings on your own copy must be of your own voice; you confirm this before an upload.
- Answering by Talking: if you answer a question by talking instead of typing, your phone turns the short recording into text by itself when it can, and nothing is sent anywhere; only when your phone can't do this is the recording sent to our AI provider OpenAI to be turned into text. Either way the text is shown to you to check and the recording is not kept. Only the answer you then save is stored.
- On-Device Face Suggestions: if you turn on "Suggest who's in my photos," the app creates a mathematical description of the faces you tag in your memory photos so it can suggest, on later photos, who a face might be. This processing happens only on your device: the face descriptions are stored in the app's private storage, are excluded from device backups, and are never sent to EDROIDA or any service provider. We do not receive, store, sell, or share face templates or other biometric identifiers. Only the name tags you confirm, and where they sit in the photo, are saved to your account. The feature is off until you turn it on; turning it off, deleting a person card, signing out, or deleting your account erases the face descriptions on that device.
- Your Copy's Memory of Conversations: when someone talks with a copy (including you with your own), the copy keeps short notes about what that person said about their own life (for example "has a driving test next week") so it can follow up later, and it may write first when there is something to bring up, such as the anniversary of a memory. These notes are stored with the person who said them, alongside the conversation, and are deleted when that person clears the conversation or deletes their account.
- Sign-in Services: if you choose Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive what you authorize in that flow (an identifier, and your name and email address if you share them). You can remove OtherMy from your Apple or Google account at any time.
- Sample Copies: if you talk with a sample copy (a made-up person from a sample family), we keep that conversation in your account, which sample luck picked for you, and how many messages and draws you used today. These conversations are not used for your own copy.
- Usage Statistics: to understand whether OtherMy works, we keep one record per person under a key derived from your account with a secret only our server knows, so the record itself does not name you: which features were used on which days, monthly counts (for example messages sent and call seconds), the app's language and region, and a line for each purchase. It is not shared with anyone and is not used for advertising.
SECTION 4 – PURPOSES OF PROCESSING AND LEGAL BASES
Processing takes place only when a lawful basis under GDPR, KVKK, or CCPA exists and when the purpose is clearly defined:
- Service Provision & Account Management – creating and managing accounts, authenticating users, syncing data across devices, delivering AI experiences, providing customer support, and ensuring feature functionality. Legal bases: GDPR Article 6(1)(b); KVKK Article 5(2)(c); CCPA business purpose.
- Your Copy – building your copy from what you share, keeping the context of conversations, recalling memories at the right moment, and writing summaries about you for you. Legal bases: GDPR Article 6(1)(b); KVKK Article 5(2)(c); GDPR Article 9(2)(a) and KVKK Article 6 for special categories (see 7 below).
- Safety, Security & Integrity – preventing fraud, detecting spam, mitigating harmful or hateful content, enforcing community standards, monitoring system stability, and protecting intellectual property. Legal bases: GDPR Article 6(1)(c), GDPR Article 6(1)(f), KVKK Article 5(2)(ç), CCPA §1798.140.
- Compliance & Recordkeeping – responding to lawful requests, retaining consents, fulfilling tax and accounting obligations, keeping the age confirmation, and reporting to supervisory authorities. Legal bases: GDPR Article 6(1)(c); KVKK Article 5(2)(ç).
- Analytics & Product Improvement – understanding which features are used and whether people return, from the usage statistics described in Section 3, and fixing crashes from MetricKit reports. Legal bases: GDPR Article 6(1)(f); KVKK Article 5(2)(f); CCPA business purpose.
- Communications – sending onboarding guidance, transactional notifications, security alerts, policy updates, surveys, and, when you opt in, marketing communications with clear unsubscribe links. Legal bases: GDPR Article 6(1)(f) for service communications; GDPR Article 6(1)(a) for marketing consent; CCPA opt-out rights.
- Special Categories of Data – answers to the questions about faith or politics are processed only with your explicit consent, which the app asks for before the first of them, and only to make your copy sound like you. Legal bases: GDPR Article 9(2)(a); KVKK Article 6. You can withdraw this consent at any time in Settings, under Privacy & Data, Faith & Politics Questions; your answers to those questions are then deleted, and the withdrawal does not affect processing before it. OtherMy does not ask about your health. If you mention your health yourself, in an answer, a memory or a chat, it is used only to make your copy sound like you, never for advertising or any other purpose, and you can delete it at any time.
SECTION 5 – AI TRANSPARENCY, AUTOMATED DECISIONS, AND HUMAN OVERSIGHT
OtherMy uses large language models from OpenAI to write the replies of copies, summaries such as your Personality Story and the portrait of your copy, and short reactions during the first interview, and ElevenLabs for voices and voice calls. Every copy is labelled in the app as an AI copy, and AI-generated speech is labelled as such (AI Act Article 50). We make no decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you (GDPR Article 22). Some features read your own messages to describe you back to you: the weekly reading described in Section 3 powers AI Insights, Personality Story and Voice Story, is shown only to you, and is deleted with your conversations. You may download a copy of your data in the app (Settings → Download My Data), delete your account and all associated data (Settings → Delete Account), and ask for an explanation of how a specific output came about by writing to privacy@othermy.com. Under OpenAI's terms for business customers, content we send through its API is not used to train OpenAI's models; ElevenLabs processes voice data to provide its services under its terms. We do not use your content to train any AI model shared with other users or made publicly available.
SECTION 6 – DATA SHARING, DISCLOSURE, AND PROCESSOR DUE DILIGENCE
EDROIDA does not sell personal data and does not allow advertising networks to access AI conversation content. We share personal data strictly under these circumstances:
- Service Providers: Google Firebase and Google Cloud (sign-in, including text messages with sign-in codes, our database in Belgium, file storage in the United States, and push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service), Railway (our application servers), OpenAI (AI replies and summaries, speech-to-text for your recordings when your phone cannot do it, and the meaning vectors used for memory recall), ElevenLabs (voice cloning, speech, voice calls, and telling the voices apart in conversation recordings; only if you use voice features), Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, App Attest), Google (Sign in with Google), our email provider (invitations, notices and Messages for the Future), and our website host (www.othermy.com). They process data only on our instructions under written agreements that require confidentiality and security.
- People You Choose: your guardians, the people you approve, and the recipients of your messages see what each feature is designed to show them (for example your name, your copy's replies, or the message you left). If a guardian requests access and you do not respond within thirty (30) days, your copy passes to your guardians as described in the app; they may then decide who else can reach it, deliver your messages, or close your account. Messages for the Future are sent by email through our email provider.
- Professional Advisors: legal counsel, auditors, accountants, and insurers under fiduciary or confidentiality obligations.
- Corporate Transactions: as part of mergers, acquisitions, financing rounds, reorganization, or insolvency proceedings, subject to privacy-by-design commitments that obligate successors to honor existing protections.
- Compliance, Legal Requests, and Safety: governmental authorities, courts, or third parties when disclosure is necessary to comply with law, enforce agreements, investigate suspected violations, prevent harm, or protect the rights, property, or safety of EDROIDA, our users, or the public.
- Aggregated/De-identified Reports: analytics or transparency summaries that cannot reasonably re-identify individuals.
The list above names every service provider that processes personal data for us; we update this Policy before we add a new one.
SECTION 7 – INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS AND CROSS-BORDER SAFEGUARDS
Our database is hosted in the European Union (Belgium); photos and sound files are stored in the United States; OpenAI and ElevenLabs process data in the United States; our application servers are run by Railway. Personal data may therefore be processed in Türkiye, the European Union, the United States, and other countries where these providers operate. For transfers out of the EEA, the UK or Switzerland we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (for certified providers) and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (2021), together with encryption and access control. Transfers out of Türkiye are made under KVKK Article 9 using the standard contracts the Personal Data Protection Board publishes, or, where these cannot be used, your explicit consent. You may ask for a copy of the safeguards by writing to privacy@othermy.com.
SECTION 8 – DATA RETENTION, STORAGE PRACTICES, AND DELETION WORKFLOWS
Retention periods are tailored to the data category and legal obligations:
- Account credentials, subscription records, consent logs, and security tokens – retained for the life of the account and up to three (3) years thereafter for dispute resolution, audit, and compliance.
- AI conversation history, persona memories, calibration responses, and uploaded media – retained until you delete them or delete your account; account deletion removes them from our active systems immediately, residual copies in our cloud providers' encrypted backup systems are removed on their standard deletion cycles (typically within 180 days), and aggregated analytics only persist if fully anonymized.
- Your Copy's Journey – answers, person cards, memory cards and their photos, recordings and transcripts, your portrait, Copy Test results, and the memory index are kept until you delete them or your account; conversation notes are deleted when the conversation is cleared. Face descriptions for On-Device Face Suggestions never leave your device and are erased there as described in Section 3.
- Voice calls – transcripts and the recordings you chose to keep stay until you delete them or your account; our voice provider deletes each call once we have saved it, and never keeps it longer than seven (7) days.
- Support and trust/safety records – stored for up to two (2) years to manage issues, enforce policies, and document incident responses.
- Crash and performance reports – kept for up to twelve (12) months. Server logs (which include IP addresses) – kept by our hosting provider for up to thirty (30) days. Usage statistics – kept while the Platform runs; when you delete your account, your record is moved to a random key so it no longer relates to you.
- Messages for the Future after your guardians close your account – messages that were delivered but not yet opened, and dated messages still waiting for their day, are kept separately for up to one (1) year so their recipients can still open them, and are then deleted. If you delete your own account, all of your messages are deleted immediately, including ones not yet opened; the app tells you before you delete.
- Legal hold or compliance records – retained as long as necessary to satisfy statutory requirements or until legal matters conclude.
You can delete your account at any time in the app via Settings → Delete Account (also available under Profile → Delete Account); the deletion runs immediately and the app confirms when it is complete. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your Apple Account's subscription settings. You may also request deletion by emailing privacy@othermy.com; for email requests we verify your identity, provide status updates, and confirm completion.
SECTION 9 – SECURITY PROGRAM, AUDITS, AND INCIDENT RESPONSE
We protect personal data with: encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (by Google Cloud); database security rules that let each person reach only their own data and what others have shared with them; a server that checks requests come from the genuine app (App Attest) and limits how often they can be made; invitation, access and gift codes stored only as hashes; administrative access limited to the people at EDROIDA who need it; and automated monitoring of errors and outages. No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk to you, we notify the competent supervisory authority within 72 hours (GDPR Article 33; KVKK Article 12) and tell you without undue delay, describing what happened, what we are doing about it, and how to get more information.
SECTION 10 – USER RIGHTS, REQUEST HANDLING, AND APPEALS
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may exercise rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, consent withdrawal, opt-out of sale or sharing (California), automated decision review, and freedom from discrimination. You can exercise several rights directly in the app: update your details in Profile, download a portable copy of your data via Settings → Download My Data, and erase your account via Settings → Delete Account. Other requests can be made by emailing privacy@othermy.com. We may request additional information to verify identity or prevent fraudulent requests. We acknowledge requests within a reasonable timeframe, respond within one (1) month (extendable by up to two months for complex cases), and provide reasons if we cannot comply. Appeals instructions and supervisory authority contact details are included in our responses. Authorized agents may act on behalf of residents where legally permitted, subject to validation. Upon request, we provide data in a portable, structured, machine-readable format and maintain records of request handling to evidence compliance. California residents: Section 3 lists the categories of personal information we collect and their sources, and Section 4 the purposes. We do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give you a right to limit it, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
SECTION 11 – SPECIAL AUDIENCES, COOKIES, AND MARKETING PREFERENCES
11.1 Minors and Protected Users: OtherMy is intended for individuals aged sixteen (16) or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if we discover otherwise, we suspend and delete the account. Parents or guardians may request removal by contacting privacy@othermy.com. For vulnerable users, AI responses are designed to remain supportive while avoiding professional advice.
11.2 Sensitive Data Controls: Sensitive data is processed solely for personalization, and answers about faith or politics only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw in Settings (Section 4, purpose 7). You may delete such content at any time. Our systems discourage unnecessary collection of sensitive categories and clearly note that sharing is optional.
11.3 Cookies & Similar Technologies: the app uses no cookies and no advertising or analytics SDKs; it stores only the sign-in tokens and settings it needs to run (for example your reminder settings, which stay on your device). Our website www.othermy.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics, so there is no cookie banner. OtherMy for Family keeps your sign-in in your browser's storage until you sign out. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
11.4 Marketing Communications: transactional emails, policy updates, and security notices are necessary service communications. Promotional emails or push notifications require opt-in consent and contain clear unsubscribe options. We do not use conversational content or persona metadata for advertising.
11.5 Do Not Track & Preference Signals: because we do not track you across apps or websites or show targeted advertising, there is nothing for Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals to switch off; we honor them all the same. In the app, you can choose which reminders you receive in Settings → Notifications and turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
SECTION 12 – UPDATES, CONTACT INFORMATION, AND REGULATORY RECOURSE
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technological, or operational changes. Material updates are announced in the app before they take effect and published on www.othermy.com/privacy.html. The "Last Updated" date above identifies the effective version. Where a change needs your consent, we ask for it in the app and do not apply the change to you until you give it. Prior versions are available on request.
